Employment Data Analysis for San Diego County
This academic report involved a comprehensive analysis of San Diego County's employment trends, for which I conducted research to inform the report conclusions. This included compiling and analyzing employment data, calculating location quotients to identify regional industry specializations, and constructing four distinct employment projection models for 2023. The project culminated in a critical evaluation of each model's assumptions and outputs, informing the conclusion that the base shift-share model provided the most realistic forecast of employment trends, and a discussion of the resulting policy implications for local government planning.
